Design inspiration
Where should I start?
Most projects begin with a design consultation: two hours in your home and a written proposal within five business days. It is $500 plus GST, credited in full toward your design fee when you sign your service agreement within 30 days of receiving your proposal. Builders, realtors and developers can start with a discovery call or a project inquiry.
Why work with one design-build studio?
HAUS Interiors is both an interior design studio and a licensed general contractor. We take on the operational side, from permits to vetted trades, so you have one accountable team from the first sketch to the final styling.
What does turnkey project oversight include?
Design, procurement and construction management in one coordinated engagement, with a single point of accountability from concept to installation. See full-service design & build.
How is the project management fee structured?
We use a transparent sliding scale rather than hourly billing: the project management fee moves from 20% down to 10% of total project costs as the scope grows.
What is the difference between interior design and decorating?
Interior design and architecture reshape layouts, flow and structure. Decorating layers furniture, textiles, lighting and accessories into a finished room, without a construction phase. We offer both, so you can start with decorating and add design or renovation later.
Can I source my own furnishings?
HAUS Interiors works as a full-service studio rather than a DIY studio. Through trade networks such as CF Interiors we source pieces that are not available to the public, and if you find the identical item elsewhere before procurement, we will request a price match through our trade portal.
