Warm, organic minimalism for a Heartwood, Calgary show home designed by Louis Duncan-He Designs, with decor, styling and project management by HAUS Interiors.
In a continued collaboration with Rohit Homes, the "Ethereal Zen" designer model in Calgary's master-planned community of Heartwood was designed by Louis Duncan-He Designs, including the furniture and finishes. HAUS Interiors provided project management, decor and styling, bringing warmth and a finished, lived-in feel to the show home.

Intro
Curated Tranquillity & First Impressions
Designed by Louis Duncan-He Designs, including the furniture and finishes, the journey begins in the entry foyer: a sensory transition into a space of immediate, quiet clarity. A live-edge timber console introduces a raw, grounding energy, balanced by a generous brass-rimmed circular mirror that catches the light, with a pair of upholstered ottomans in a textured, mineral-toned jacquard tucked beneath. HAUS Interiors managed the project and completed the decor and styling throughout.

In the open dining and living spaces, Louis Duncan-He's "Ethereal Zen" design is expressed through a harmonious palette of tone-on-tone neutrals and natural fibres. The dining area is anchored by a rustic timber trestle table, offset by soft grey fabric chairs, beneath a large dome-shaped woven wicker pendant that casts a warm, textured glow. HAUS Interiors layered in the decor and styling, from minimal black-and-white abstract art to textiles and accessories, keeping the living room calm, human and uncluttered.

The open-concept floor plan flows effortlessly into the central kitchen, which serves as a clean, bright anchor for daily life. Muted, flat-panel oak-grain cabinetry rises flush with the ceiling, paired with a pristine white, vertically stacked tile backsplash that adds a subtle, handcrafted dimension. Above the expansive quartz island, a trio of clear glass globe pendants, suspended by natural rope cords, draw the eye upward, celebrating the airy volume of the main floor. Low-backed, black iron counter stools punctuate the scene, providing a sophisticated contrast to the warm timber undertones.
