In collaboration with Rohit Homes, this show home in Cochrane's Heartland community was designed by Louis Duncan-He Designs, with project management and styling by HAUS Interiors. The open-concept, 1,520-square-foot layout is grounded by white oak herringbone flooring, styled by HAUS Interiors with layered neutrals, sculptural lighting and tailored furnishings.

Challenges
A Study in Material Discipline and Contrast
Every tactile element within the residence was intentionally chosen to engage the senses and create layered, organic depth. In the main lounge, a cream boucle-curved sofa serves as a soft architectural counterweight to a custom, curved credenza with tight, vertical fluted detailing. This interplay of form is punctuated by a structured lounge chair in deep Prussian-blue velvet and by hand-rubbed brass floor lamps. In the dining nook, a polished marble table sits beneath an organic, hand-blown glass petal chandelier, flanked by three vertical, brass-rimmed capsule mirrors that reflect natural light across the room. There are no transient trends here—only raw, high-quality materials that celebrate their inherent beauty.

Outcome
Seamless Transitions & The Culinary Anchor
The transition from the relaxed living quarters to the kitchen is both intuitive and visually commanding. Serving as the functional focal point of the main floor, the kitchen features clean, flat-panel walnut cabinetry that rises flush to the ceiling, paired with a rich, dark marble island accented by bold, organic white veining. Hammered-brass counter stools provide a tactile, metallic punctuation against the warm wood tones, while slim vertical brass pendants draw the eye upward to appreciate the space's volume. This is an environment engineered for real life—where culinary execution, curated hosting, and daily moments align perfectly and uncompromised.
