How our fees work
In luxury design, time should be spent on creativity and precision, not on tracking minutes. Our fees come in two clear parts, so you know your investment before work begins.

Design fee
The creative blueprint
A fixed fee based on the square footage being transformed
Covers layouts, mood boards, material and furniture selections, technical drawings and 3D renders

Production fee
Project management, from order to reveal
A sliding-scale management fee that decreases from 20% to 10% as the project grows
Covers procurement, trade coordination, site visits and your concierge reveal

Your two-hour design consultation.
Every full-service project begins in your home. The fee is credited in full toward your design fee when you sign your service agreement within 30 days of receiving your proposal.

How long does a full-service interior design project take?
The design process, from concept to 3D renders and final costing, takes about 10 to 12 weeks. A complete project, from discovery call to final reveal, typically spans 13 to 25 weeks depending on scope.
Do you manage the contractors and trades?
Yes. Project management is part of our full-service concierge: HAUS Interiors appoints and manages every trade, with a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact. We are licensed, insured and bonded, and our own subcontractor agreements protect you from liability on site.
Why a fixed fee instead of hourly billing?
Hourly billing makes invoices unpredictable and discourages open communication. Our fixed design fee covers every call, message and meeting, so you know your investment up front and never need to watch the clock.
How is the production fee calculated?
Production covers project management, billed as a sliding-scale management fee that decreases from 20 percent to 10 percent as the project grows. It covers procurement, trade coordination, site visits and the final reveal.
Where do you source furniture and finishes?
Mainly from trade-exclusive vendors across Canada and the USA, through a single designer portal with our partner CF Interiors. This gives you access to pieces and custom fabrication you won't find on retail floors, plus a SKU-level price match request before we order.
How are changes handled once work begins?
Through individual change orders. We agree on scope and cost with you before any new work begins, so there are no surprises.
Can we pause the project partway through?
Yes. We complete the current design phase and hand over all of its deliverables, so the project can resume seamlessly when you're ready.
